Overseer Terry S. McMillan

Overseer Terry McMillan is a native of Hope Mills, North Carolina, and the devout  husband of Senior Pastor, Bishop Julia M. McMillan, New Dawn Restoration  Center; the father of three children, Travis, Courtney and Kendall, and the proud grandparent of Imani,  Tyler, and Ava. 


After 25 years of a stellar career with Kraft/Nabisco/RJR Company, Overseer Terry transitioned to the  work of full-time ministry at New Dawn Restoration Center in 2008. 


Overseer Terry serves New Dawn in many capacities. As Overseer and former Director of Operations at  New Dawn, he continues to have a critical role on the Elder and Executive Boards at New Dawn and continues to provide oversight for Facilities and Administration. Additionally, he oversees the Men’s  Ministry. 


Overseer Terry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in  Marketing from North Carolina A & T State University, Greensboro, NC in 1982. He earned a Master of  Business Administration degree with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Tampa  College in 1995. In 2012 he received his Master of Arts in Religion with a concentration in Christian  Leadership Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He also studied at the David M. Copeland  Lecture Series at The Oblate School of Theology, San Antonio, TX, and received his Certificate of  Completion in June 2017.  


Overseer Terry also serves as Volunteer Chaplain on the Spiritual Care Team at Advent Health Hospital,  Wesley Chapel, Florida. He participates in community affairs and continues to be active as a charter  member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, striving to encourage young men with principles of manhood,  scholarship, perseverance and uplift.  


Overseer Terry was licensed and ordained as an Elder and received Pastoral installation on June 30, 2011.  He was appointed Overseer of the Kingdom Council of Interdependent Christian Churches and Ministries,  Southeast Region (KCICCM-SE), all respectfully by Bishop David Michael Copeland, Presiding Prelate of the Kingdom Council of Interdependent Christian Churches & Ministries, San Antonio, Texas. 


He is the author of the newly released book: Unthreatened: A Godly Man Under Female Leadership” – a book that will challenge one’s thinking around God’s sovereign hand and authentic call in the lives of  men and women both in and outside of the church.
